A brown and white staffordshire teapot, having a diamond-shaped pictorial image of a mill with a waterwheel on each side, connected by a wide (1 3/4') band of reticulated lines. The same pattern is on the lid and the handle. Apattern of 'broken' fans encircles the top of the teapot and around the spout. The piece is unmarked except for the word 'ivory' stamped inside the lid and again on the bottom. A small number '5' is also stamped on the bottom. The piece is in excellent condition, circa 1850-1875.
