An early miiature chest of drawers with an old refinish and some old repairs. The original single center knob on each drawer has been replaced and the hole filled with a peg. The top, sides, and back are all made from single boards. The wood is pine, in two colors, with square nail construction, chamfered drawer bottoms and hand-cut dovetails. The backshplash is plain, and the apron has a simple scallop. This piece is in very good condition, with wear appropriate to its age, circa 1820-1850. Small chests like this are hard to find!
